The Jewish/Christian scriptures, known as "The Bible", is filled with many examples why human beings need a spiritual salvation or redemption. This message is revealed from the first to the last "book" of this collection of 66 such books. This message is explained by prophetic announcement (a future prediction), symbols, types, shadows, national law for the nation of Israel, morality, literal language and ultimately by logic and reasoning in the last 27 books known as the "New Testament."
This necessary salvation of the eternal aspects of a human being was clearly declared and demonstrated before the eyes of innumerable witnesses during the three and a half years of public teaching by the one named in the English language - Jesus Christ. All said and done, the Bible declares this one to actually be the benevolent Creator of all things, having come in the flesh while also being the one to secure forevermore this redemption for each and every human being.
"And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life. Little children, guard yourselves from idols." - I John 5:20-21
An idol today is any false representation of this Jesus Christ. In the Greek New Testament, the definite article "the" is most commonly placed before the name "Jesus" in the books called "the Gospels." This is omitted in all English translations because of awkward reading, but it was very purposeful. It is true "Jesus" in its Hebrew and Greek form was a common name and "the Jesus" made this individual specific, but also there was only one Jesus who taught one specific body of spiritual knowledge. Today there are many false representations of Jesus and hence many "Jesuses" or "false gods" or "idols."
At the core of the appearing of the God in flesh is his sacrifical death - perfect and divine in every way - and the triumphant resurrection of said flesh to prove He alone is the complete authority on the need of salvation or redemption, the source thereof and owns the eternal future ahead for each and everyone. No other human being has demonstrated victory over death.
